Wonderful Story

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! It was a lovely story and both myself and my 5 year old daughter fell in love with it. When I purchased the tooth fairy doll, Amazon recomended this book. I knew nothing about it or the author. I highly recomend it, especially for little girls. Only because it seems femanine to me, the story focuses around a little girl who is having a hard time giving up her tooth. They need it to complete the queen's throne. I was able to get some ideas for our tooth fairy family traditions of reading the story the night before the tooth fairy arrives, leaving pixie dust on the pillow and leaving a gold coin in exchange for a tooth. The book came with a gold coin as well as several envelopes stuffed with letters to the tooth fairy, letters from the tooth fairy, posters and a finger game. The book art is wonderful as well.

This book is so cute. It is a very girly book but my rough-and -tumble 6 year old son LOVES it. What makes the book very unique is the correspondence (envelopes with letters attached to every other page) between the little girl and the tooth fairy. There is a fairy-sized poster, a riddle game, and a coin at the end with a certificate. It helps answer his questions about the tooth fairy: what does she do with the tooth, are there many tooth fairies or just one, etc. For myself, I LOVE the fact that it reinforces good dental habits. A coin for a white tooth in good condition (no cavities!).

My brother is a dentist and I just recommended it for his office waiting room!

My granddaughter is 6 1/2 yrs old, and just beginning to lose her teeth. This interactive book is written so well, and the illustrations draw both child and adult into the story. The challenge of reading it together is just perfect for my first-grader. She will go to the book every time she's about to lose a tooth. My only criticism is the microscopic size of type used on the inserts -- very difficult to read, in the best of light.

Rather, it appears to be a collection of events that can be summed up by saying "...and here's another man who would move mountains for a chance to sleep with me". An interesting, shocking, exotic, exciting and story full of surprises.

If you ususally read some chaste and pure Harlequin's romances, beware you may have a heart attack while reading Emma's adventures. Lol!

Very well written, this story is the testimony of a woman who fully accepts and assume her sexuality. Her journey is explicitly told. So, this novel is not to put in everyone's hands and is reserved to an informed public. One who will be eager to read the text with an open mind and will not be to prompt to judge but appreciated the quality of style, the tone and the cojones it takes to draft such a testimony.

For my part, even after having read many erotic romances, I admit I had my lower jaw that was taken down repeatedly!
If the author assume her rather bold and intense scenes descriptions, they could easily offend sensitive souls as the language is raw and direct. At the same time, it fits perfectly Emma's style who takes pleasure in revealing herself through the pages by telling her story without mask and taboo.

But in fiction, you can always put some distance between you and the characters or events, since it is an invention coming straight out of the imagination of a writer. There, Emma has the courage to put her life on paper. And it's a huge difference to keep in mind while reading.

Then, it is always very difficult to give an opinion and write a review on a story when you know it really existed. So, if I have found that there was sometimes too much sexual details told or if I wanted to know more about Thierry, Yves or the charming duo formed by Michel and Frederic, I found myself in an awkward position... Because, there is nothing fictional. These are real people. So, I had the feeling of sitting in the chair of a voyeur or to be indiscreet.
For my own peace of mind, I would have preferred the same story with the barrier of a fiction.

Despite some moments that put me out of my comfort zone, I had a good time reading Emma's journey.
As a Parisian, inevitably, the details of the places visited by Emma and Paul were having a much more reasoning echo. I'm not talking about the clubs because, believe me, Emma is much better informed than me on Paris night life!

However, I enjoyed visiting Paris and London suburbs, with precision and accuracy, through the eyes of this young woman. I also appreciated the richness of her encounters made over the years, well described. Some of the people she met were exotic, some others I would have like to meet myself to chat.

Beyond the sexual experiences, it's the story of a woman who discovered herself. While being a loving wife and a caring mother, she took on the role of adventurer, entrepreneur. It is this mixture of facets given away with honesty by Emma that captived me.

An interesting, shocking, exotic, exciting and story full of surprises.

These are early reader chapter books (Level J on the RIGBY scale) for first/second grade students. They are fiction and written for amusement - not intended to introduce a child to a new cousin. The keep early elementary students interested in reading. We love the series!

We bought the entire series and my 1st grader loves them. He is a really good reader so if you want your child to read them then the average reader should be able to get through them by mid-2nd grade. Each book in the series touches on all of the plethora of emotions that kids this age experience and helps the kids see what started off as a negative experience in a more positive way at the end. Kids at this age tend to see things in black/white, good/bad but these books tend to show the gray areas of what started off as a negative situation.
